Custom Apparel for Nonprofits That Does More Than Look Good
Your organization shows up for your community every day. Your merch should do the same. Breaking Free Industries produces custom screen printing and embroidery for nonprofits, community organizations, faith communities, and cause-driven groups across Southern California and nationwide — with pricing that respects your budget and a mission that aligns with yours.
We’re a second-chance employer. Our team is staffed by people rebuilding their lives through skilled work. When your nonprofit orders with us, the shirt matters twice: once for your cause, once for someone on our team.
What Nonprofits Order From Us
- Fundraiser and awareness campaign shirts — event tees, walkathon shirts, awareness ribbons, cause-branded apparel
- Volunteer and staff uniforms — polo shirts, hoodies, jackets, and tees that identify your team in the field
- Donor and sponsor gifts — premium branded pieces people actually keep and wear
- Gala and event apparel — staff and volunteer gear for your biggest nights
- Youth program gear — spirit wear, team shirts, and camp apparel for the people you serve
- Annual appeal merchandise — branded pieces that support your development program year after year
Why Nonprofits Choose Breaking Free Industries
No minimums that price you out
Most large-platform print shops require 50–100 pieces before their pricing makes sense. We work from 12 pieces. If your volunteer program needs 20 shirts, we can do that. If your gala needs 500, we can do that too.
Mission alignment
Your donors and constituents care about where their dollars go. Ordering from a second-chance employer is a story you can tell. It adds a layer of integrity to your program that a commodity print shop can’t match.
Transparent pricing
We quote within 24 hours and don’t hide fees in the checkout. Blank garment cost, decoration cost, and any setup fees are broken out clearly. No surprises.
In-house production
Everything is decorated in-house in Santa Ana, CA. No outsourcing, no offshore fulfillment. One point of contact from quote to delivery.
Blanks We Recommend for Nonprofits
We source from AS Colour, Bella+Canvas, and Next Level — sweatshop-free suppliers with strong ethical sourcing standards. For nonprofits, we typically recommend:
- AS Colour Staple Tee (5001) — retail-quality blank that represents your org well at events and in photos
- Bella+Canvas 3001 — the standard for cause-driven apparel, soft hand, wide color range
- Next Level 3600 — lightweight, fitted, great for awareness campaigns and youth programs
- Independent Trading Co. IND420VP — midweight hoodie for volunteer and staff programs
Common Questions
Do you offer nonprofit pricing?
We don’t have a formal nonprofit discount tier, but our base pricing is already competitive because we don’t carry the marketing overhead that large platforms do. We’re happy to work within your budget — share your program details and we’ll find the right blank and decoration method for your price point.
Can we provide our own artwork?
Yes. We accept vector files (AI, EPS, PDF). If your artwork isn’t print-ready, we can prep most files at no charge for straightforward designs. Not sure if yours qualifies? Send it and we’ll tell you.
What’s the turnaround?
Standard is 10–14 business days from proof approval. Rush production is available — let us know your event date when you request a quote and we’ll confirm feasibility.
Do you ship nationally?
Yes. We ship nationwide. Local pickup is available in Santa Ana, CA.
Can you match our brand colors?
Yes — we Pantone match on screen printing. Provide your PMS codes or a color reference when submitting your quote request.
Ready to outfit your team, your volunteers, or your next event? We’ll get back to you within 24 hours with a quote and decoration recommendations.
