I personally first met Hiro about 20 years ago shortly after moving to California on a work lunch. I'd say it was life at first ("no dip") bite! But, that just might be a bit cliche. However, all good things evolve, and Hiro has recently passed the torch to David, promising a fresh chapter while maintaining the essence that made Kotobuki a beloved locale. Hiro will still be around for the transition, then take a trip to his native Japan and then periodically work a couple days a week at Kotobuki. Oh - and Kotobuki means congratulations in Japanese - so they say.
